How to compare

Five questions before you chase a provincial “draw.”

01

Is there a suitable stream?

Start with stream eligibility, not the last invitation score.

02

Is a job offer required?

Many provincial streams are employer-linked; others are not.

03

Is it Express Entry-linked?

Enhanced nominations connect to Express Entry; base nominations use a different federal PR process.

04

Does the province target my occupation?

Selection priorities may be sector, occupation, wage, region or employer based.

05

Is the intake actually open?

An old draw does not prove that registrations or applications are currently accepted.

06

Do I genuinely intend to settle there?

Provincial nomination is tied to a real intention to reside in the nominating province or territory.
